SPOTLIGHT FOR GOOD
Celebrating Clara Luper and the Historic OKC Sit-In
We joined the Clara Luper Legacy Committee and the Oklahoma City community to honor the monumental efforts of Clara Luper, her daughter Marilyn Luper Hildreth, and the courageous youth who ignited the sit-in movement in 1958. From stirring speeches at Frontline Church to a symbolic march to Kaiser’s Grateful Bean Cafe, we retraced the steps of history, remembering the relentless fight for justice that forever changed Oklahoma and the nation. As we reflect on the past, we are reminded that the fight for equity continues—and we are committed to carrying that legacy forward.
